Aquaculture Department

Department of Aquaculture with its’ two divisions named as “aquaculture” and “fish diseases” contributes to undergraduate and graduate education of Aquaculture and Fisheries Engineers. Most classes offered by the department contains practical training sessions, conducted either in a laboratory and/or in marine or freshwater fish farms located in the Mugla Province. Diverse research areas of highly experienced faculty of the department covers many different aspects of aquaculture from Fish, Crustacean, Bivalvia, Molluscan and Live Feed Culture, Fish Nutrition, Fish Genetics and Breeding, Aquaculture Biotechnology, Planning of Aquaculture Facilities, Water Quality Management to Fish İmmunology and Fish Diseases and Treatments.
